Travelling to Thailand

An official Letter of Invitation to obtain a travel visa to attend the iBOL 2026 will be issued ONLY after registration has been completed and full payment has been received by the iBOL 2026 Secretariat. It is the delegate’s responsibility to determine his/her requirements for entry into Thailand.

  • A valid passport
  • Return or onward travel details
  • Accommodation information
  • Proof of sufficient funds
  • A clear travel purpose

All Non-Thai Nationals entering Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) 3 days before arrival into Thailand: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home

The Thai Cabinet has approved revisions to Thailand’s visa exemption and visa-on-arrival schemes. While these changes are not yet in effect, visitors to Thailand should be aware of the potential impact on their travel plans. These changes are intended to tighten screening and reduce misuse of short-term tourism entry options. Travelers should confirm the latest rules for their passport before making travel plans.

Thailand tightens airport checks
Tourists must carry 20,000 BAHT

Bangkok – Thailand is strictly enforcing financial requirements for arriving tourists, with random cash checks taking place at major airports including Bangkok and Phuket. Travelers entering visa-free or on tourist visas must carry at least 20,000 baht per person or 40,000 baht per family in physical cash, while Visa on Arrival visitors must show 10,000 baht per person or 20,000 baht per family or equivalent foreign currency.

Officials say digital banking apps, credit cards, and online bank statements may not be accepted during spot checks. Travelers unable to present the required funds risk being denied entry and deported at their own expense.
